What do I do if my refrigerator is not working?
If you are renting your refrigerator from us and the freezer is not working (i.e., there is no ice forming in the freezer), then the refrigerator may be defective. If so, please submit a work order online to request someone to come look at it for you. Make sure it is plugged in to the wall and there is power at the outlet before submitting the request.
If the freezer is cold but the refrigerator is not, it means there is a blockage somewhere to keep the cold air in the freezer from entering the refrigerator. In most cases, this can be corrected by unplugging the refrigerator for 6 hours to thaw the ice in the freezer (leave the freezer door open). Doing so should also thaw any ice blocking the air floor from freezer to refrigerator compartment. After six hours, turn the temperature control to the warmest setting and plug the unit in again. Once you confirm the refrigerator is getting cold again, you can slowly turn down the temperature setting (one setting per day), taking care not to turn it below the middle setting. If the setting is to low, it will cause ice to form more quickly and block the air flow from the freezer to the refrigerator.
